Today...

Is the first time I've really written here. I'd type what's happened so far, but I've only been here a couple weeks, so nothing big has really gone down yet.

The second day of my being here I met a bro named Anna. We met totally by accident because we both forgot to get stickers on our ID cards. She was all "omg, I'm totally missing out on Brawl right now" and I was like "SO...WE'RE FUCKING, RIGHT?" Our friendship's been pretty rad. She introduced me to some other dude named Eric and we've been chilling as a threesome, like, every day. Today we went to the shopping mall via the shuttle. I ALMOST missed class coming back, but it was totally worth it. There's a Borders still open down there that closes this weekend and I HAD to jump on those sales. I'm gunna see if Anna wants to go back there tomorrow after classes so I can buy more books. Seriously, I bought .hack//Link Vol2 for 5 bucks. That's a fucking steal.

But anyway, so far classes have been decent. I don't have much homework, but most of my classes are boring as shit. No, lemme take that back- the classes have interesting topics, but the teachers are super boring. Except the French teacher, he's very...I dunno...sassy, I suppose is the correct word. My other 3 classes are "The Human and Cultural Mosaic" (which is just fancy talk for "Geography"), "Ancient and Medieval World", and "International Language". AM World's teacher is some 80 year old man who's pretty damn boring. He's nice as hell, but, like...yawn. Same goes for Language. However, both of those topics are interesting enough to keep me intrigued. Unlike Mosaic, where the teacher's not bad, but I FUCKING HATE GEOGRAPHY.

Every Monday and Wednesday I have Mosaic and AM World from 10am-2pm (every class is an hour and forty-five minutes long and they're one right after the other for fifteen minute breaks in between). And every Tuesday and Thursday I have French and Language from 2pm-6pm. So I have bro time Mon and Wed afternoons, and Tues and Thurs in the morning, then private time until 9pm when Anna gets out of class. so it works out well- it MAKES me do work those two days for AT LEAST 3 hours.

As for my roommates, he's not bad. I mean, he doesn't bug me at all...but we're not exactly friends either. We never talk. But I think that's because we both KNOW we have nothing in common with each other. He also has these annoying habits that piss me off sometimes: spraying too much Ax, leaving the door wide open when he leaves, ect. Seriously, if my shit ever gets stolen because he left the door open, I'm fucking killing him. My suite mates and I are pretty different too. But what can I say? A gay gamer's niche is hard to find. Luckily Anna's right next door in the next suite over, so I got a bro super close. Eric's right down the hall too, so we hang out in his room a lot.

I like my dorm too. The rooms aren't too small. They're made for 3 people, but one of our roommates never showed, so it's just me and Spencer (that's my roommate's name, obviously). Also, each suite gets its own bathroom, so my phobia of having to use public bathrooms is easily avoided. There's a shower in the private bathroom too, so that rocks. The only real downside is that everyone here tends to ONLY get loud once Quiet Hours have started. Parties don't happen here in Holloway Hall, they happen across the street in the other Freshman dorm, Randall, and everyone just comes back all rowdy'd up from parties back here at around midnight. It's better than having the parties here, I guess.

People at college are waaaay too friendly, however. Like today, I was walking out of my room and I got invited by some chicks I had only said hi to once to watch Teen Mom with them and snuggle. Gee, no thanks. But I suppose that's better than everyone being rude. Also, everyone I've met here acts gayer than me, but isn't actually gay. Take Eric- he talks with a lisp, likes musicals, is a Performing Arts major...but is 100% straight. What? Like, I honestly don't give a fuck cuz I'm not looking for a relationship anyway, but it just confuses me...

It rained a shit ton here already, and it's going to for the rest of the week. Like, Hurricane Irene was a total pussy compared to the rain we got yesterday. Seriously, I stepped in a puddle that was up to my ankles and my shoes are still soaked. I got home from class today and I took off my shoes and socks and my feet were all pruned. Gross. And wet sneakers smell like cat piss, IMO.

I hear a chorus of people singing "Landslide" down the hall...too lazy to go look. I like that song though. But seriously, there's a good example of Quiet Hours being broken. It started almost an hour ago...what if I was trying to sleep? I'd go insane.

Speaking of which, who decided that Keene would be the ghetto of New Hampshire anyway? Seriously, cars are always going by because the college is right on Main Street, people honk their horns. And not to mention people like to show off for dem der sexxy college slutz (AKA- Backdoor Sluts 9, the college edition), so random losers occasionally rev their motorcycles at 2am. Also, there's construction going on right down the road, so that's always fun to wake up to at 8am.

I do like how everything is right around the college though. I mean, I'm gunna be accidentally spending a lot of money that I don't have, but I can walk to anywhere I wanna go, or take a bus if I get lazy. Like, it's a cute town...but the constant drunk people are annoying. I'm honestly expecting a lot of them to either bucket down or get the fuck outta here pretty damn soon. I'm hoping it happens to my roommate, but I doubt it, knowing my luck. If only, right?

I do a lot of walking around here too. Cuz to get to class, it takes me at least a few minutes to walk there. Campus is pretty damn big, but it's nice- I like walking. But I'm assuming that during the Winter during all the snow, it's gunna suck. I've already walked around in the rain. I bought an umbrella, which is cool.

Another thing I like about college life (the umbrella reminded me)- no one really gives a fuck about what you look like. So I walk around with my Mushroom tote bag all the time and no one ever cares- I even get compliments. Back home, everyone'd be all "OMFG!!1 U ONEA DEM QUEERMOSECKUALZ?! U SUK!11!11!!" Seriously, I hate Belmont. Back when I was younger, everything was nice and peaceful. Now the town's full of posers and assholes. I dunno if I just grew up or everyone decided to become a tool, but there's no way in hell I wanna live anywhere near there. I mean, there are a lot of tools are here too (can't win them all, I guess), but no one really bothers you. I doubt I'll live in Keene, but it's a nice place.

I suppose that's all I can think of right now, so peace out.
